"That Mom"

Over the past several weeks, things have been slowly returning to normal at the Kids Club. We have been excited to see some of our favorite families return to support our small family business, but we have also been delighted to meet some new families.

In our world, we are doing what we can to keep life as normal as possible for our little friends. All while ferociously cleaning and vigilantly watching for signs of Covid-19. So far, things are going well.

The latest trend is with our parents. More than I care to mention, we have had a parent stop in to see how things were going. We love visitors, so this is not the issue. But the trend that makes me sad is their concern. "I just wanted to stop in and see if other parents were venturing out with their kids. I don't want to be THAT MOM."

Well MOM, let me tell you. I am THAT MOM. Over the course of the last 60 days, I have juggled life, 4 small companies, and homeschooling a first grader - a job that I did not sign up for. So, when we reopened the Kids Club, my child was begging to go. And, in honesty, I needed the break. Our world has changed our circumstances in so many ways and let me be the first to put your mind at ease. Parents are venturing out with their children. And, life is returning to some level of normalcy. So yes, you can rest assured, you are not the only one dropping your kid off. And, no one is here to judge what works best for you or your family.
